Ho il piacere di invitarvi giovedì 14 dicembre 2023, ore 18, presso la Galleria Il Bisonte (via S.Niccolò 24r, Firenze), all’inaugurazione di Post Print Media, mostra collettiva a mia cura con lavori di Manfredi Ciminale, Chiara Chimirri, Victoria DeBlassie, David Hanes, Juan Pablo Macías, Gemma Mazzotti, Robert Minervini, Antonio Pronostico, Walter Rindone, Giulia Sensi, Luca Sposato e Silvia Vendramel.
La mostra indaga l’urgenza, sempre più sentita nell’ambito della grafica contemporanea, di ampliare i confini precostituiti imposti dai media tecnici e stilistici della disciplina per spostarsi progressivamente al margine della propria specificità verso una pratica fluida, adattiva, che mescola i codici e le variabili peculiari dell’incisione ponendole in aperta condivisione e scambio con gli altri linguaggi artistici.
Diversi per formazione, ricerca ed esiti formali, i dodici aristə in mostra sono accomunatə dalla capacità di decostruire e frammentare il medium attraverso una costellazione eterogenea di pratiche, azioni, sperimentazioni e linguaggi in grado di far emergere la differenza nella ripetizione.

I have the pleasure of inviting you on Thursday 14 December 2023, at 6pm, at the Galleria Il Bisonte (via S.Niccolò 24r, Florence), to the inauguration of Post Print Media, a collective exhibition curated by me with works by Manfredi Ciminale, Chiara Chimirri, Victoria DeBlassie, David Hanes, Juan Pablo Macías, Gemma Mazzotti, Robert Minervini, Antonio Pronostico, Walter Rindone, Giulia Sensi, Luca Sposato and Silvia Vendramel.
The exhibition investigates the urgency, increasingly felt in the field of contemporary graphics, to expand the pre-established boundaries imposed by the technical and stylistic media of the discipline to progressively move to the edge of its own specificity towards a fluid, adaptive practice that mixes codes and the peculiar variables of engraving, placing them in open sharing and exchange with other artistic languages.
Different in terms of training, research and formal outcomes, the twelve artists on display are united by the ability to deconstruct and fragment the medium through a heterogeneous constellation of practices, actions, experiments and languages capable of bringing out the difference in repetition.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until January 26, 2024 with free admission.
